These are sentimental words from Ted himself.

My dad was born 120 years ago today on the 20th January 1896. In 5 days time on 25th January (Burn's Night) my auld maw would have been 100 years old. She was fiercely proud of sharing her birthday with Rabbie. This is for them.It is one of the most personal songs I have ever written and I wasn't really sure I wanted to share it. I had just turned 20 when my dad died. I was just a daft laddie. The first words I said to my mother when he passed away were " I never told him I loved him."
It was a hard lesson.
If you are lucky enough to still have one ,or both, of your parents please take just a few moments to visit or even phone and just say "I love you". They might just be the three most important words of your life.
